is yaoi homophobic?
of course i can't sterotype all yaoi, it is a form of art homophobic or not...
but from what i've seen of it, it stereotypes gay men as being only one of two things: bubbly, kind, extroverted, loud, innocent, loli type, or deep and brooding and dark. yaoi is targeted towards straight women, many of which i have met already have these stereotyped views of gay men. i just think that yaoi kind of reinforces the idea that gay men are either feminine or seem upset or angry with their lives. idk maybe i'm just thinking about it too much.
