it’s  quite  simple.      (  her  lips  tug  up.  )     all  you  have  to  do  is  smile.     (  she  demonstrates,   all  her  teeth  showing.  )     you  relax  your  whole  body—  i’m  not  sure  you’re  meant  to  feel  it.  and  you’ll  just  ..  disappear!      (  and  she  did  just  that.  )

            “isn’t that basics?” karina asked as she arched a brow, cautions when she noticed the other’s tail around her wrist. she let her fingers relax around her ear, barely touching them, “i would like to know who i’m talking to.”

(  a  soft  sound,  nearing  a  purr,  as  her  head  leaned  more  into  her  hand.  )        karina,  huh? pretty.        (  her  lips  quirked  up,  her  tail  wrapping  around  the  girl’s  wrist  for  a  moment.  )     would  you  like  my  name  too?

            renelm arched a brow at her, finishing his sandwich in one last, unapologetically large bite. he crumpled the paper it had been wrapped in and let it rest in his palm. a soft curl of white smoke rose from his palm, the paper disintegrating into pale ash without a single spark.
            
            “i don’t know who or what you are,” he said, eyes still fixed on her, unimpressed and unmoved as he wiped his hands off the dust. “nor do i care. but i’m not going to be your source of entertainment.”

(  she  seemed  pleased  with  herself,  managing  to  get  a  reaction,  even  if  it  was  as  small  as  just  a  pause.  )     commission?  oh  that’s  hilarious!  not  even  close,      (  she  barked  out  a  laugh.  )      no,  no,  what  i  want  is  to  figure  you  out.  you  smell  odd.  you  [ look ]  odd.  but  you’re  not  like  me,  are  you?

i’m dead  —  what do i have to look out for  ?  (  he pursed his lips,  as if he was too late to catch his words.  he shrugged the question off,  his normal cheery expression faltering.  )  no,  not really.  i just have vibes to go off of.
