          Can I ask you something??

Hey guys  I just wanted to quickly rant and get this off my chest. Today someone messaged me saying that a chapter in my story seemed similar to theirs and asked me to rewrite it. They mentioned outfits, colors, and even the phrase ‘Could it be…?’ saying my chapter might be inspired by their work.
          
          I want to be clear, I’ve never read their story. The phrase is super generic, and outfits or colors like maroon jackets aren’t exclusive to anyone. I even offered to rewrite the chapter, and they said "and next time don't do something like this"
          
          To avoid confusion, I still went ahead and changed the jacket color and removed the phrase. The plot, storyline, and everything else in my story are completely different. Honestly, it was a bit frustrating, but I just needed to rant and get this out of my head 
          
          Anyway… rant over. Back to writing <3
