Hey everyone!!! I hope you all had a happy New Year and a merry Christmas, and are looking forward to seeing how 2025 turns out ^u^
          
          Hopefully you'll be happy to know that I'm working on the chapter again! I've surpassed 1000 words, but that's including a lot of my notes and I'm not even halfway into the main section of this chapter. It's going to be a slow one, unfortunately...
          
          I hate having to delay this so much from you all because I know you started off reading a chapter every week, and it scares me to think you may lose interest over time or not be as immersed in the story as you'd be if everything previous was fresh in your mind. But even so, I hope you're still enjoying Harmonies of the Heart and are excited to see what comes next for Jake and Hailey :) I'm excited for you guys too.
          
          If I'm being honest, I've recently found it quite hard to feel like I belong in the tmf community, even though I've been in it for almost five years now and it's like, the biggest special interest I've ever had. I just find that many of the flaws are getting me down about it overall, and not many others in Rosy's Mystical Meadow really seem involved now. Granted, we haven't had a new episode come out in a year and a half, and it can get tiring waiting, so I understand that. But the lack of sense of community I'm feeling right now has also been part of the reason that continuing to write has been difficult.
          
          But, I'll keep going anyway! I really do think this story is worth sharing and I know you guys love it, so it's important to me.
          Thank you for listening to me rant and explain my point of view as a fanfic writer lol. It feels nice to have it known by those who should know.

@lilsiibee07 You know, if you love the series and feel the need to express it, then you should just do it. What you said down in your second comment is correct. The way a part of the community is shouldn't affect the way you perceive the characters, the story, or anything else for that matter. Please don't let your enjoyment be ruined by a few rotten apples on the tree :)

*just to clarify, by flaws I mean flaws of the fandom such as flanderisation and glorification. Y'know, the stuff that every fandom has and I know I shouldn't focus on...

Hey everybody!!! I hope you're having a lovely December so far :)
          
          So I'm aware I haven't posted since the start of November, and I've started to get some comments asking and talking about the next chapter, which I really appreciate!!! You guys are being very patient despite my slow upload schedule and I couldn't be more grateful for that :') <3
          As is the rest of the fic, chapter 7 is all planned out and in the early writing stage right now. I HAVE begun working on it. Even so, it's probably going to take about another month or so to write before I can release it.
          It sucks, I know, since the last one took so long too and I'd really like to post something before the new year! Unfortunately I've got a long going on, including an all consuming hyperfixation on Arcane lmfao (pls message me about it if you've watched it), as well as figuring out what to do with my life :v (ie deciding stuff about my current studies) and lots of choir gigs and birthday celebrations. The lead up to Christmas is becoming more stressful every year which sucks bc now I'm REALLY an adult ;u;
          Honestly writing sounds really nice and cosy right now, so maybe I'll be back into it soon. But yeah, it's still going to take me a while to prepare the chapter for you guys to read. Maybe if we're lucky enough I'll have it ready as a Christmas or New Year's gift but I doubt that lmao (with the way this chapter ends it would be a pretty crap present HGSAGFSD).
          
          Anyways, I'll message with updates and to wish you all a merry Christmas in about a week or so! Thanks again for your understanding and patience. Love you all! <3

oH sH!t I just noticed a mistake in chapter 5  I’ll fix it up now. Also opinions on Jake’s outfit??? I wasn’t rlly sure where to go with it, especially with the colours. I thought he’d look really nice in a black shirt instead of a traditional white one - I was taking inspiration from the meme Rosy did with him in the black and gold suit - but idk how I feel about the teal colour. Maybe it was too matchy-matchy to be his colour. Idk, do you think it would work? What would you imagine he’d wear?
