first thing, make your chapters longer, preferably 2,000 - 8,000, also space out your paragraphs — ex. 
            
            “Jael went and got her hair done for the first time!” Tru exclaimed, looking between her two friends, Mariah and Sameera with a big smile on her face.
            
            “What foreal?!” Mariah questioned, her voice filling with excitement, her eyes sparkling from the news. She always wanted to see what Jael looked like with her hair done.
