Toni Morrison said, "If there is a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, you must be the one to write it."

Growing up, seeing Black people in short stories,  novels and poems was a rarity. It is such an injustice, because we have so many stories to tell. Thus, I add to the voices of my brothers and sisters all over the world and tell our stories. I want to read these stories, but they haven't been written. So I must write them.
