Continuation of my previous post!!
          When Vanessa and chris got together it was wrong but so did Stella feelings for Trevor. If Stella was single there would not be any problem but she was seeing chris so it was wrong. She blames everything on chris but didn't take accountability for her own actions (the end one). This situation reminds me of belly from tsitp who was literally confused between Conrad and Jeremiah. Jeremiah being Trevor and Conrad being chris. Trevor was also wrong for lying to Stella about sleeping arrangements so that she would share bed with him. But Stella would also have rejected Trevors offer and could have gone to a hotel to stay. At the end I feel Chris's intuitions were right that she would leave him for Trevor in a heartbeat. I feel because of her daddy issues she became more inclined towards Trevor who she looked upto the chris who was immature for her liking. Overall chris and Stella both were toxic for each other but I felt disappointed when she blamed chris for not trusting her when she was also having feelings for Trevor. I hope Stella realizes this in sequel and as chris also faced his karma I hope Stella also faces the same exact situation from non other than Trevor or with whom she would be with ( i think it's Trevor tho) in sequel and understand how chris must have felt when he was gas lit into believing he was not trusting her when she was also kind of having feelings for Trevor. But overall love the book. Lots of love  

I know it's too late to write an observation on cruel summer since its already been a year but I just found this fanfic today and instantly got hooked so here it is (even tho no body asked for it but still) but this may anger a lot of people since here are more Stella supporters than chris. 
          
          Even tho chris was really immature in this story but I kind of felt like Stella wanted to be with Trevor more than chris and I get it Trevor is her idol and he is a gentleman but it takes two for a tango so not all blame should be given to chris for their failed relationship. At first it was Chris's mistake but later I felt like it was all Stella's fault. She lied to chris about the sleeping arrangements with Trevor even tho she knows that chris won't be happy with it and they were literally seeing each other so in this situation Stella was in wrong and she didn't even take accountability for it and said chris that he doesn't trust her even tho he tried to and on top of that how dare she thought that she could share about her "good times" with matt and matt won't tell his brother. And then she is like "Matt told you didn't he!" Like wtf did Stella think that he could lie to his brother for her crushing game going on between her and Trevor. It's like Stella was emotionally cheating on chris with Trevor. It's not wrong to have close guy friends but there should be boundaries. Being all touchy with Trevor, literally cuddling with him thinking of inviting chris over just because she missed Trevor cuddling with her was totally wrong from Stella's behalf. If chris would have done this with someone else she would have freaked out. At the end I honestly felt bad for chris. Stella did wrong to him during the end. If she really wanted a relationship with Trevor ( deep down she does want to be with him ) then she should have talked to chris like a mature person like she thinks about herself and should have broken up with him.
