Gotta love when a whole arc you've been struggling with for MONTHS gets suddenly resolved in less than 5 minutes

Ambivalence fun fact cause I've been thinking a lot about it lately (and some of you are probably starved. I don't blame you):
          
          Odysseus and the reader aren't actually related!
          
          I know, I know. What the fuck does that mean?
          
          Let me explain:
          
          In Ambivalence, it is never explicitly stated that Ody and R (gonna be calling the reader "R") are blood related. Sure, they're siblings, that's super obvious, but I've never said how they came to be siblings. One can assume they were conceived by the same parents, which is totally valid btw, but that's not really the case
          
          Throughout the story, I’ve tried to be careful not to make mentions of R as a baby or refer directly to her birth, using phrasing like “You had been stubborn and reckless since the moment he first laid eyes on you” instead of “Since the moment you were born blah blah” (this was in the Wouldn't You Like chapter) among others
          
          So, in my mind, after Ody’s parents tried to have more children but couldn’t due to complications, they adopted a child from a handmaiden/servant who was unfit to care for R
          
          She was taken in when she was pretty young, probably a toddler, and probably doesn’t remember anything from back then. Odysseus does, though. He still remembers those doe eyes of yours that used to hold only innocence and whimsy, and he still remembers the oath he gave himself the first night you officially spent with your new family, the night he tossed and turned restlessly, anxiously waiting for morning so he could show you around the palace, introduce you to every single person he could possibly find, and tell you all the things he’d teach you and all the games he’d play with you. He thought about how he’d be the best big brother ever (I’m sure that won’t ever be completely torn from him or you haha)
          
          R does know she isn't blood related, but she doesn’t really care. She loves her family, and they love her, though sometimes they show it in very particular ways (looking at you, Odysseus)
