I don’t really use Wattpad anymore, but I randomly checked back because I still think about Rose and Zach sometimes. I remember when you first started writing TDDUP and I can’t believe it’s been 7 years!! Seeing your update genuinely made me so happy. I’m really glad you’re continuing the story. TDDUP:
First thing's first: yes, TDDUP will be completed. I'm NOT giving up on it.
I've been writing the book, albeit very slowly, offline. I have 6 new chapters written so far but I won't be releasing them until I've written ALL remaining chapters and the book is done. This is so that I can begin releasing chapters on a regular basis without the risk of leaving you hanging in-between updates. It's more enjoyable for you and less stressful for me ❤️
It's been nearly 7 years since I began the story - needless to say, I'm not the exact same writer. My perspective regarding a lot of things have changed (for the better, I hope) and the TDDUP version that currently exists is not what I 100% identify wth. But I'm not going to rewrite or change any of the old chapters (that's a massive task because of the behemoth size of the book already) - but should I decide to traditionally publish the book later, it'll definitely need a rewrite.
Even now, writing the new chapters is tricky because there's so much I want to change in Act 3 and I find it really tedious to stick to the script of what's happened so far in order for the following chapters to make sense. I did consider at least rewriting Act 3 but even that feels overwhelming (Act 3 chapters are super long, with 10k+ word count for each).
So I've made the decision to stick to what's been done so far but since I'm not 110% into the current progression of the story, you might pick up on it (?) Idk, I can't really say because I don't know what my writing sounds like to a reader when my heart isn't entirely aligned with it.
But you've been waiting for so long & I appreciate that beyond words can say. So the remainder of TDDUP is, I believe, more for you than for me.
I cannot promise a definitive date but I do hope to finish writing AND releasing the rest of the book within the year. Perhaps one day I'll be able to revisit the story from scratch and rewrite it into a whole new version that my heart & soul is in sync with ❤️

You don’t know how happy I am to see this update. I cannot wait to dive back into this world and these characters that I have not yet let go of and probably never will.

Hi! Im 22 now and i mean this with my whole heart TDDUP was and still is everything to me- i understand we’re our own biggest critics so you might feel the done part of the story needs a rewrite but i hope you choose to take this to heart when i say I haven’t come across another book written (published or not) so wholly perfect and emotion inducing- i come back to this book a lot because zach and roses story is so human and so beautiful. Thank you for choosing to finish the book

So, the senator got Micah to play Rose's childhood friend because he wanted to be safe incase she ever remembers her childhood with Zach?
Because Rose doesn't remember but her father knows there was a dear friend of her, so he bought Micah into the scene to play that part ....also it seemed senator holds something over Micah cause in the very first chapters Micah said senator was like a mentor..
