Sometimes, that nervousness or those “butterflies” in your stomach are actually a warning from yourself — telling you to stay away from that person. But often, we ignore it anyway, because we want to explore, or because we crave something exciting and new. We mistake that uneasy feeling for excitement, thinking it means something special… when really, it’s your heart trying to protect you.
Yet deep down, your body already knows if someone is not good for you — long before your mind can figure it out. How? You can feel it through their energy. Your body absorbs and observes every little thing: the way they speak, how they treat you, the weight of their presence. Even when your words say “I’m fine”, your body already feels the heaviness or the unease they bring.
Always remember: your gut is your “second brain”. If you feel calm, safe, and at ease around them in every way — no overthinking, no constant worry, no heavy feeling in your chest — it means they are good for you. But if you feel uneasy, anxious, or constantly self-conscious; if you always have to question their intentions or adjust yourself just to be enough for them… then prepare yourself to walk away.
Because real love and genuine connection never feel like a battle. They never make you feel small, confused, or unsafe. If you have to fight for your peace just to stay with someone — that is not love. That is your intuition screaming at you to let go.
