Idk why I couldn't reply in the book but Mark was her first boyfriend in New York and all he wanted was what she had between her legs and he did then he dumped her. There's a flashback when she met Lyric and she mentioned him in the beginning. And there's the other flashback when she starts going out with and it mention how he dumped her after he cheated. oHo
