Glad to be aboard and hope I can help.  Writing is a very tough biz and you're better off if you're doing it for your own pleasure, and advice is normally worth what you pay for it (and I've found paid for advice worthless as well), but I'll give you the benefit of 26 years and being directly involved with over 75 books.
