          i’m not coming after mexicans btw it’s just i hate it when people compare my spanish to urs bc it sounds similar our spanish is actually different and i want everyone to know that
          
          an example happens in my own house! my parents call straws two different things my mother is puerto rican and pervian while my father is just puerto rican yet my mother uses more portuguesse (i’m sorry i spelt that wrong /gen) and peruvian my father speaks puerto rican spanish 
          
          spanish is different in every spanish speaking country spanish is even different in major english speaking countries hence the term ‘spanglish’ and spanish is a mixture of spains spanish and the language the natives spoke before they were colonized (FUCK THE COLONIZERS I FUCKING HATE THAT) and those two mixed creating different versions of the spanishs language 
          
          never generalize spanish and it’s speakers and this has been a NOT GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT PSA
