I hate that I feel like I have to say this to make people understand how shitty this is??? TRIGGER WARNING FOR MENTIONS OF ABUSE, IMPLIED STARVATION, SELF-HARM AND SLAVERY IN A FANTASY CONTEXT
          
          The house-elves in Harry Potter are SLAVES. They have no choice. Kreacher was brainwashed, and Regulus was actually fucking kind to him. THAT is why Kreacher did as he was told when the Black family was around. NOT because he's just "loyal". Dobby is the only house-elf who can think for himself, and that's due to Harry's help, because we have the Durselys for treating Harry like a slave, making him do the cooking and the cleaning and all other things, withholding meals when he disobeys, all of that. And we want to get rid of the Durselys because of this. We want to change that part of the story, or kill off the Durselys. 
          
          House-elves have it WORSE, I'm not sorry to say. If they do the SMALLEST thing that their master of mistress doesn't like, they have to PUNISH THEMSELVES, going as far as burning their own ears in the oven, bashing their head on a lamp, and other things. That's SELF-HARM. House-elves are made to believe that if they do something wrong, hurting themselves is the proper action to rectify that mistake, and show their remorse. This is wrong. As I said in the warning, House-Elves may be part of a fantasy story, but it's still slavery. Someone commented on a story I had read that the house-elves were annoying little bastards and that they preferred Kreacher to Dobby, because Kreacher was loyal to his family. If this was a REAL LIFE situation, you would not think this and you would want to tear down the system that let this kind of abuse of a minority torn down.
          
           If I have one person comment on this saying that it's fiction and fantasy so it doesn't matter, I will delete  it and block that person.

 there is a website called HogwartsisHere.com and it is amazing.  You can choose your house, year, and courses. It has every Hogwarts course created. You don't even have to take the normal course a just whatever courses you want. It's amazing. And you can choose your own name you don't have to use your real name it's amazing.
