I live in a moderately sized city in the Midwest with my husband, son, and three fur babies : 2 domestic shorthairs - one with the stripes and attitude of a proper tiger, the other resembling a siamese, she's the lion of the family, and in the running for biggest talker of the family too(besides my son and me). Our third baby is a Pomeranian chihuahua mix, an old man now- he came to live with me at age 8 and has been a permanent fixture in our family for the past six years. A proper old gent. He and my husband are the quiet ones. 
My son is a teenager now, and as all teens do values his privacy, so I won't say much about him here, except that I grow more proud of him with each passing day. 
My husband is my biggest supporter through the good and bad in life, our lives on this dead end street are quiet and predictable, though through fiction I can create any number of dramatizations.
I'm a lifelong hobbyist of writing - who was recently encouraged by a friend to hone this craft into something that I can share with others.
I hope to write freelance full-time, so here I am throwing some work out there, and with it small pieces of myself. 
I like the exploring themes related to the human condition, and (hopefully) surprising my readers with a few twists and turns along the way. 
My first short story "The Reaper" explores themes of humanity, the underworld, and spiritual redemption.
