@longlostspirit It kind of depends on what you like reading.
TLDR: If you want a survival adventure, read This Is The Fall. If you want dark-ish romantasy, read the Deer and the Wolf
Deep Dive:
I would say, if you want something that can be read quickly and you’re ok with a bit of mature content, start with the Deer and the Wolf.
If you want to see if you can get invested in a couple of characters and go on a wild survival adventure, This Is The Fall.
Almost Perfect is 1000 word, realistic fiction, short story that’s kind of bittersweet. Everyone that’s read it in my real life has told me that it made them stare off into space and want to cry a little bit.
Creation’s Quest is more High Fantasy, slower paced with lots of world building. I haven’t decided if I’m going to publish that book yet so only part of the full manuscript is posted here.
The Deer and the Wolf is an excerpt from a full length novel that I’m working on publishing. It’s more low fantasy/dark romantasy…and atmospheric with more character development.
This Is The Fall is the first several chapters of a complete novel that I’m also working on getting published. It’s more sci-fi/survival with a bit of atmospheric suspense and a touch of creature horror. Lots of world building and a romantic sub-plot.
All three of the books are connected (set in the same world but during different times) but can be read as stand-alones. The world building in all of them go hand in hand.
This is the fall features a protagonist in her early 20’s, The deer and the wolf features a protagonist in her late 20’s/early 30’s, and Creation’s Quest follows an eternal being turned Goddess and an old woman known as Grandmother.
So, yeah, just depends on what you like reading ❤️
