From 2012 to 2014 Lorenzo V Tan also led as chairman of the Asian Bankers Association, a banking association of 103 banks from 26 Asian countries. Lorenzo Tan encouraged members of the association to offer innovative products that help the movement of debt and equity from the markets with excess funds to the markets with demand for development such as infrastructure, manufacturing equipment or other long-term needs.
