okay okay okay I saw this on instagram and thought I should probably say it on here too: please don't romanticise the mafia. I haven't read duplicity, nor do I plan to any time soon simply because it isn't my kind of story, BUT it's important to acknowledge that it is an uneducated action to go commenting shit like "if my boyfriend isn't in the mafia i don't want him" or "i've always wanted to join the mafia, anyone coming?" these are very very insensitive and pointless things to comment, especially when so many people have been hurt by them. I'm nowhere near educated enough to tell you all the bad things they've done, all the lives they've hurt or ended, but I've heard my Italian friends speak against this as well and you know, idc if this is "funny" or whatever, please please please think before commenting things like this!!
