emotional about jane hopper today.. nothing new

fruity four (+jonathan) college/new york au has been calling to me… like. they all live in the heart of the city in a dingy apartment building with those fire escapes that they sit and smoke on at night. robin and nancy bring in stray cats. they’re all in school but the roles have sorta reversed – robin is much more known than steve is, since he’s more focused on his grades than anything (trying to prove himself to his parents), nancy is on the verge of dropping out (canon ik, but i still think it made sense for her so). jonathan is directing a movie, and he’s at an art school so he gets to actually make a mock film. eddie is in a band (duh) that plays at local college dive bars and he’s desperately trying to get a record deal.

OHH and steve would be in the film too but he’d be a bit of a bitch ab it because jonathan sorta forced him to be in it so he and the oc would have some drama there too

if there’s an oc she’s an ‘actress’ in the mock film that gets pulled into their life easily and maybe (!) she starts to think that the film has too many details for it to be strictly from jonathan’s imagination but no one will open up about it obviously, until they do a showing of the film for family and friends and a girl comes up to her afterward and thanks her for doing such a beautiful job. she introduces herself as janie, which could be a coincidence considering the character she played was named jane, but she also is dressed in a flannel identical to the one she wore for hours on set. idk! that part just came to me rn.
