i think what i’m going to do for a little while is start writing off of wattpad and just for me to see because i feel like when i post on here that i feel almost pressured to write and i hate that. i will at some point come back to write on here but i’m not completely sure when. i will however still be on here to interact with y’all and hopefully read more. love you guys! <33

Anyway, since you’re not picky, I decided to give a list of recs based on some recent books I read and/or my favorites (these vary but are mostly YA and a sprinkle of adult. I put asterisks next to some that might have triggering themes) A lot of these are standalones but some are series: Iron Widow, A Curse So Dark and Lonely, Not the Witch You Wed and What If It’s Us Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao* The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon Ace of Spades by Faridah Abike-Iyimide* Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi* Maybe a Fox by Katwi Appelt and Allison McGwee (I haven’t read this one in a while but I remember really enjoying it) Old Wolf by Avi (same with this one) The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas* A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuinton One Last Stop by Casey McQuinton Loveless by Alice Oseman Prince Charming/Her Royal Highness by Rachel Hawkins (I put these together since they are companions of each other. Quick and cute romance reads though they may feel rushed by the end FYI) The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta The Boy in the Red Dress by Kristen Lambert The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann Not the Witch You Wed by April Asher What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera (has a bittersweet ending but there is a sequel that I haven’t read yet so I’m hoping it ends on a good note) That’s it.
