So some of your prior messages just popped in my feed, so I apologize for not responding fully. I will say again, forgiveness is not for the abusers and wrongdoers. Forgiveness is for the victim. For me it is all about how strong your faith is. If you really pay attention, Lay has her faults as well. No one is perfect. Her family can also be blamed for how things turned out. She’s not pointing fingers, she just wanted resolution and vengeance. She wanted peace and love. Especially from the ones who betrayed her and hurt her. Again in my opinion, I believe they all ended reaping what they sowed. In different ways but they did. No one just escaped unharmed. May it be physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. Most became their own torturers. What’s they had so easily bc of Layla, was snatched and they had to fight to continue their accustomed way of living. It may have seemed it was still all peachy but they all recognized the shift. I enjoy your passion for the story and I’m sure that’s the energy and support any author or writer needs to be motivated to continue. I for one appreciate you.

No you are not wrong in your opinion. Everyone draws their own understanding. That’s what I love. Different takes on the same matters. It just life in general. No two people are the same or think the same. I think the book ended how it should have, everyone got their closure in whatever form it came. Now what they do with their lives moving forward, it all up to them. Every action has a reaction. Now that’s something that could possibly be brought upon another book but I think Layla’s story is finished. She found love, family, and peace. Nothing else matters.
