Even worse, my final group presentation is this period, and of course I had to do all the work myself and I'm gonna have to stand up with those three bums and look like an idiot with them

In psych class, we were watching a documentary on how people are super compliant to authority figures and influenced by the bystander effect. It was absolutely terrifying to know that people would stand there and watch someone die and not do anything, and a woman would have her husband sexually assault a coworker because a stranger on the phone told her to. People would electrocute someone to death because a scientist told them to, and we all know about Kitty Genovese. I'm absolutely horrified that people, once good upstanding citizens, would do something so evil. I'm even more terrified by the fact that it could be me. I could be the next person who gets someone killed. What if I'm not as good a person as i think I am?
