Hey guys, longggggg time no see... Figured I should do some due diligence & explain where I've been!
To make a long story short, I stopped writing simply because I've lost the motivation to... I started writing fanfics when I was fourteen for the sole reason that there were none about kdramas on here at the time— like, literally it was a barren land. It was right around the time 'True Beauty' was released & the craze of fanfic writing hadn't taken off yet, tbh I'm kind of glad I started when I did because I believed if I started any later I would not have gained the traction that I did. Lo & behold 'Soft Spot' was created. (Yes, 4 years later & it's still not complete...)
At the time, English was my worst subject in school; I literally had no idea what delusion pushed me to publish it online. Clearly if you were to go back & read the first chapters of 'Soft Spot', you'd be able to tell my writing was subpar. But publishing my works was probably the best decision I've made for my academic career, I went from barely passing to top scorer (no joke I received an award for my English grades in Year 9).
I stopped writing all together towards the first half of 2023. I think at the time, I was burnt out from this & the words stopped formulating & flowing as easily as before. (I realize now that I am TERRIBLE at creating fully fleshed out main characters who aren't just Mary Sues in different fonts.) 'Meet Cute' was my attempt of fixing that, but even then I had no motivation to write.
Soooo, what now with this account? I'm so grateful that everyone loved my writing as much as I loved writing it. I've currently graduated college & am now waiting to head overseas to pursue my degree #futureEngineer), so with all this free time I figured I'd slowly try to pick up where I left off— or at least try to make an effort to. NO GUARANTEES THO! Some stories are just too far beyond saving...
