Heart hammering, she crawled low and slipped into the nearest unlocked car in desperation. Through the heavily tinted windows, no one could see her.
          
          The adults searched briefly... then left.
          
          Mi-ra exhaled shakily.
          
          "That was close..."
          
          Only then did she realize where she was.
          
          Or rather - whose car it was.
          
          The air inside smelled faintly of clean cedar and something cold, metallic, like winter rain. She knew that scent. Everyone did.
          
          Her eyes widened in horror.
          
          "No way... This is his car?!"
