@timelessmelody- | exactly!! losses like what happened to his mother and the guilt of the fact that he wasn't there to help her were definitely part of it. because he couldn't save his mom he was willing to do anything to save padmé, which is what eventually killed her in the end (again, however indirectly). i too could talk about this all day.
@loverbyanakin i could talk about this all day. he was not heartless, he just gave into his fears and anxieties without thinking about the consequences because i think he was afraid of loss as a result of bottled up trauma.
