Born and raised to French- Iraqi parents who also happen to be BIG fans of Mythology and Folklore surrounding the land of two rivers, I grew up with bedtime stories that, legends claim, were the very same ones that the great King Shahryar would listen to, told by his wife, the shrewd and beautiful Shahrezade. 
If you've ever read 1001 nights, you'd know that the collection is compiled from various genres, going from the famous 'Aladdin and his Great lamp',  to the lesser known, and my personal favourite, 'The Fisherman and the Jinn'. 

All these stories have heavily influenced my own writing and literary interests, and  contributed to my fascination with the worlds beyond the one we know. 
I hope my fascination is contagious through my writing!
