Yesss, the regular Christmas people in the world celebrate is on the 25th of December, and mostly Catholic and Protestant Christians celebrate it because they go by the old calendar (the Jullian one), because they believe that’s when Jesus Christ was born. I’m an Eastern Orthodox Christian and us Orthodox Christians, we use the new calendar and we believe that Jesus Christ was born on the 7th of January. So because of the time zones, where i live is now the 6th of January making it the Orthodox Christmas Eve. I don’t want it to seem like i’m forcing my religion on other people, it’s just how I grew up, i hope this clears it up <3333
