"Why me?" I ask, moving my head to look at him.
"Because. I saw something in you that I doubt anyone else has." He says, slipping his arm behind my head. "You know. Beyond your angelic features."
I close my eyes, no longer looking at the sparkling constellations stuck in the dark sky.
"It's always been you, Chlo."
I sit up, suddenly angry. "Is that why you insisted on making horrid comments about me? Embarrassing me in front of everyone? Making a fool out of me on the internet? Because, frankly, that doesn't make sense. And I think I'm done playing your childish games." I laugh tiredly, "Actually, no, I was done awhile ago. I was just making the mistake of hoping that things were gonna work out between us."
Collecting my things that were sprawled out on the grass next to me, I push myself up, only to be grabbed by my arm and pulled back to the warm spot on the blanket next to him.
I whip my head around to glare at him and he smashes his lips onto mine, placing his hand in the crook of my neck, deepening the kiss.
I pull away and slap him across the face, gasping for air, which I was deprived of while kissing him.
"What the fück do you think you're doing? Didn't we just establish that I am done playing your games? Your so called affection for me isn't real and we both know it. You just want to cross me off your list of girls you've slept with."
Tears prick my eyes as I stand up, and he lets me go.
I pick up my purse and stalk off to my car, opening the door and taking one last glance at the candle lit area, where he lay on the blanket, hands over his eyes.
I could hear him muttering something, but I was tired of him playing me. So, not caring about what the hell he was saying, I slam my door and turn up the radio and pull out of the gravel parking spot.
