          “will you and nicolette be alright if I take a nap?”  he asked, the super soldier looking in need of one, though he still smiled at his lover, his eyes holding nothing but affection, love, and fondness for the auburn haired woman

          “she’s beautiful like you though, my love” he spoke softly, resting his head against lola’s shoulder as he laid down slightly, a quiet yawn leaving his lips. “nico was here, wasn’t he?” he asked gently

          the long haired super soldier felt tears come to his eyes, leaning in to kiss the young woman that he loved softly, his hand gently stroking her cheek. “she’s got your eyes, that’s for sure, but she looks a lot like nico” he observed with a soft smile as he looked down at the resting nicolette in her mother’s arms

          nico stayed to see the little girl he had helped to create, kissing both of their foreheads and whispering that he loved them before he left, his presence gone from the room. the light of the young woman’s life teared up when he heard that first cry, a smile touching his lips. after the baby was cleaned, dovich was sitting by his lover, cooing softly down at the new born baby girl. when he heard lola, he looked up at her, his eyes lighting up like that of a child’s on Christmas morning. “Really? you’re giving her my last name?”

          “you’ve got this, my little fairy” lola’s soulmate whispered to her, a soft and loving expression in his eyes, a single tear sliding down his cheek as he leaned in to press his ghostly lips against her forehead. “I know you can bring our little girl into the world because I know how strong and brave you are”

          even though they had spoken about it, it did not make the possibility of losing his lover any easier, he did not want to lose her, he was terrified of losing her,  but if he did, he would try his best to go on without her, he would raise and love their little girl, with all of his heart. “yes, yes you can baby, you can do this, I know yon can” he whispered soothingly into her ear, the doctor at their side, coaxing her to start pushing more

          dovich moved to sit behind her, giving the young woman permission to lean back against him if she needed, the sound of her scream breaking his heart. the doctor felt her forehead and frowned deeply, looking at the couple with concern and worry evident in his eyes. “something’s not right.. something’s wrong” he murmured, due to the baby being a super soldier, there was bound to be complications and troubles during the birth, but this, this was different.

          “i’m fine, i promise. i may be freaking out a little bit, but i’ll be okay” he reassured her, pulling out his phone and calling the doctor, who after getting the call, came to the room almost straight away

          and this is when dovich began to panic slightly. “okay, okay... do you want me to call the doctor? or someone else?” he asked, propping up the pillows on the bed
