L Scott Harrell is an American entrepreneur and online startup founder. Notable startups and exits include private investigator themed websites, a video services marketplace and developing other niche-focused online communities.

PIEducation.com is an online professional continuing education platform for private investigators approved by over a dozen state licensing agencies. Pursuit Magazine was the first online magazine for private investigators. Both web properties were purchased by a national training consortium in 2012.

L Scott Harrell was also the executive editor of Video Entrepreneur Magazine, an online community for commercial filmmakers, entrepreneurs, editors, on-camera talent and video gear professionals. The website regularly features innovative ideas, marketing know-how and ways to integrate filmmaking with entrepreneurship. While he operated Video Entrepreneur, Scott 
founded VideoToOrder.com, the first freelance services marketplace to provide only video-related services, such as video production and editing, video marketing, voice over services and other micro-jobs. In 2016, both websites were acquired by a venture capital firm.

L Scott Harrell currently lives in Cozumel, Mexico where he is working on a patent-pending music services app for mobile devices and provides social media and marketing services to local travel agencies and tour operators. In his spare time, Scott's passion is scuba diving and shooting underwater photos or flying his drone and capturing breathtaking aerial video around his island home.
