I don’t often discuss abortions, but I just watched a movie that really struck a chord with me . In the film, a young woman is contemplating getting an abortion, which sparked a conversation between her and her friend. Her friend made a shocking statement: “Do unto others as you want done to you. If you believe it’s okay to murder someone, then you should allow someone to murder you. If you want an abortion, you should let someone abort you, too.” This viewpoint left me feeling quite unsettled. While I recognize that it’s a Christian film that likely aims to promote certain moral beliefs ✝️, I believe it oversimplifies a very complex issue. The reality is that you cannot impose your views on someone else’s choice regarding whether to carry a pregnancy to term. Each person's circumstance is unique, and the choice to keep or end a pregnancy should ultimately lie with the individual facing that decision. ️
