It’s been so long since I’ve been active on here. Life’s been tough lately and idk if it’ll get better or worse, but I think Ima give writing another. I’ll try my best to update Twinkling Lights, but Idk if I got the will to finish it. So bare with me. :))

Ayeeee Yo! Guess who’s back!!! It’s been a hot minute there. Lol. Shits happened, but I finally feel better—mentally—and I’m happy to announce I will be continuing my book ‘Twinkling Lights’. Idk yet about my first book. Kinda fucked that one up and idk if I can really save it, might just trash it and rewrite it. Idk yet. But for now I’m glad to be back.

Update: I talked to my best friend. I ended up having to break down what being aroace meant and how that affects how I feel towards them. They were pretty open about it and very understanding. They kept asking dumb questions (), but it went pretty good. In conclusion, we are now platonically involved with each other. Basically more than friends, but nothing widely romantic or sexual. A comfortable grey. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice. I really appreciate it.

Recently I’ve discovered that I’m asexual. Well more specifically demiromantic, but I prefer to use the general term ace. My point is….even tho I don’t really feel romantic feelings, I’ve realized that I have feelings for my best friend who confessed they liked me romantically. Now, that doesn’t mean I want anything romantic. I want to tell them how I feel, but I’m not sure how to tell them that I may never want something 100% romantic. I want a platonic relationship that’s more than just friendship. Idk. I don’t want to hurt them tho… Any advice?

@cursedbnhaXD Aww. Thank you. That’s really helpful. Yeah, I’m gonna start off like that. There’s no going back now. If I don’t get it off my chest now, I know I’ll regret it.

@luckiefysh here’s my advice. Sit them down, tell them you want to talk about something important etc. Say “So I’m not really sure how to explain this but I just wanted to tell you how I felt. I do have.. feelings? for you, but I don’t know if I want anything completely like a relationship if that makes sense. I just don’t really know what I want right now honestly.”
You can add to it or take away any of that because that’s just how I would do it. Just take the gist and you’ll be fine. Head up, be confident. You have nothing to hide from them! Good luck (whenever you plan on telling them)!

@8774749838S Yeah, you’re right. I actually just texted them that we need to talk. I think I’m just going to be honest and see what happens.

Can I just make a confession…? It’s stupid. I just felt like getting it off my chest. Anyways…. So I’ve been in school for three weeks. I haven’t made any friends and it’s really hard. I tell everyone I’m fine with it cause I like being alone anyway. But…I can feel myself becoming more depressed and anxious about it now. I mean it’s like everyone is moving so fast around me, having fun and smiling and making memories…. And then there’s me. Standing in slow motion alone. People tell me it’s my fault that I have no friends…. Maybe they’re right?? Please don’t think I’m saying this for attention. I just wanted to finally get it out.

I felt the same way last year honestly.. hopefully I’m better at making friends this year

@Xavelinn Thank you so much. That helped a lot to read that. Yeah, you’re right I should probably not suppress it. Haha… I’ve just been raised to keep my emotions to myself and to never talk about how I really feel if it’ll bring down the people around me. And I guess that makes me keep in to myself bottled up. But I try to at least let it out every once in awhile before it’s too much to handle. It’s easier to just express how I really feel online than actually speaking the words because I’m just really shy and don’t really talk. And I really appreciate the advice and your words. They really helps. Thank you. :))

Haha. Sorry I haven’t updated ‘Twinkling Lights’ in a while….again. I’ve just been…out of it and I’m not sure how to fix it. But it’s ok. Just give me like a month or so….and hopefully I won’t be depressed anymore and I’ll be back to writing again. Also I have tons of Tennis matches…so after the season I’ll back at it. ☺️

luckiefysh

@Xavelinn ya bet I will!! At least I’ll try!! :p

Is it normal to not be able to feel romantic feelings? Like I know I don’t feel sexual feelings and I’m pretty aware that I’m demisexual. But…is that related to having some to no romantic feelings? I’m really confused and need some insight. The guy I went on a date with asked me if I like like him, and I hesitated….because I wasn’t even sure if these were platonic loving feelings or actually romantic feelings. I’ve never actually “loved” or “liked” a person. Idk. Dm me for advice please.

luckiefysh

@8774749838S Then perhaps I’m aro ace, considering I don’t quite like the idea of romantic or sexual relationships, but I wouldn’t mind being in either (or both) if I had a connection with the person.

@luckiefysh as best I know, it’s comparable to asexuality. Ace people aren’t into sex, and Aro people aren’t into romantic relationships

@8774749838S I have considered that….but I’m not really sure what aromatic really means.
