Announcement regarding my older work:
I skimmed through some parts of If The Rain Won't Stop today, and found some really 'questionable' scenes and lines that don't really resonate well with me anymore as a writer. And, goodness, nakakahiya.
My stories are not perfect, but I know that that is not enough reason to be careless with what I write and publish publicly.
If The Rain Won't Stop is a remarkable novel for me. Dito ko inumpisahang sumulat ng mas mature na character at mas malalim na mga themes. It's my only novel, as of now, that won The Wattys 2018. My most read so far with 150K+.
However, I wrote it when I was really young and not mature enough to fully understand the themes that I'm tackling. And looking back, I realized how I failed to give the proper execution to the message of the story, as well as the problematic lines and scenes.
Because of this, I'm unpublishing the story. The fact that there are 150K+ readers who have read it is really embarassing; seeing how the story unfolds and how underwhelming it was. Nakakapamghinayang, but I'd rather have fewer reads for my latest novels for now with better writing than having hundred thousand reads for an old story that is questionable.
Kung kakayanin, pero hindi ko pinapangako, susubukan kong i-revise kung maisasalba pa. Then I will probably publish it again. I cannot promise that, tho, as I actually want to just focus on my upcoming novels instead.
By January 20, 2022, unfornately, If The Rain Won't Stop will be unpublish. Please understand why I'm doing this, and don't worry, my other novels are free to read and I hope my latest stories will give you a better entertainment. Thank you very much.
Always,
Zi Ann
