I kinda want to do a guessing game here in regards to a WIP. Like I would say a summary of a character with only limited hints and everyone else must guess what sign they fall under. It’s an idea, one I feel like would fit a theme. But let me know if you all want me to do that anyway. Looking forward to see what you all think.
But I got a question for the writers out there (feel free to answer if you want): do you use character profiles when planning characters? I am considering on making character profiles but I am not sure what areas to focus on. Additionally I want to go with something simple without taking massive amounts of time.

@lunarella- I've only started doing it because sometimes I lose motivation and then come back months later and forget everything. So when I make a profile, I do the basics (name, age, etc) and then their looks and then some basic personality traits. Usually I do a small backstory just so I know how they relate to the story as well.

I personally don’t lol I go with the flow when I search for face claims I kinda have a vague idea of what I want them to look like and after I choose all the characteristics
It always depends on your book but if you don’t want to do too much the classics are always : full name (if they have one), age, height, Nationality (if they have one) and at this point you can invent and add what you feel would be fun/important

Gonna give a heads up in advance. Starting from the day after tomorrow I will be going on vacation. It would last approximately a week but it does mean that for any updates I’ve yet to read, I may be reading them late.
As for writing I am not sure when I’ll get back to that. Cause I’ll be honest I am a bit nervous about it especially working on something new. Hopefully this break will give enough inspiration to plan and create.

I want to publish something new hopefully next year. But at the moment I have got a long list of making sure the plot makes sense, making a good outline, planning characters out, researching, drawing characters too. All that while making sure everything is hopefully done before courses start again.
Who decided writing and planning things out is a process :(

Question for the writers and I may need some answers: how do you plan and understand your characters better? And bonus question, how do you make them complex?
I’m trying to figure things out and characters is an area I am kinda stuck on. Just wanted to know different ways to understand characters, y’know.
A silly question but hey, I’m curious to know.

@lunarella- tbh i have a tendency to plan and never use it, but i try really hard to give each one a very distinct "thing" like Leo is known to be scary, and Sagittarius is kinda a douche, and Taurus is self righetous and then the rest of their personality kinda builds around that core trait or value

@lunarella- Give them all trauma :3. This one had a sad past, that one killed somebody, this one witnessed a murder, that one gave someone trauma.

I can’t stress to think that the app version of this site dislikes me because of how many times I have to keep re-logging in, and recently the amount of times it keeps freezing my screen when I read something. And at first it got annoying but now I’m used to it. But still it is rather annoying to deal with.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Because I don’t want to deal with my screen freezing midway through a chapter to the point I had to exit the app and scroll back to the last part I read.
Also just a question but let’s say I run with a choose your own adventure style (iykyk). Would any of you prefer like a short prequel book for that? Because I want that to focus on understanding how the actual story’s mechanics would run (I know it may seem tricky on this app but I want to give it a go). It does mean a lot more planning and finding a way to link it to the actual storyline. But are you all fine with the idea?
