LONG POST AHEAD (it was longer but I had to compact it- I want to yap smh)‼️
Hey guys still on vacation but lately I have been thinking about something that has got me thinking, and that is the structure of my upcoming work.
The general premise is focused on character development with the cast having to rekindle their trust with each other as a team after a mission gone wrong. I also want to make sure there is a main storyline as well.
There are a few factors to keep in note, mainly that there may be a lot of info to understand and I want each character to shine. I want readers to get to know the characters and how they change throughout the story and try to rekindle their trust.
So far I have a few options to take in regards to the structure. Just let me know which option is the best to do.
OPTION A- KEEP IT AS IT IS (no need to compact the info)
OPTION B- COMPACT (compact the character development parts, focus on the plot)
OPTION C- MAIN STORY, SIDE STORY (have one book be the main storyline, and have the other book focus on the characters through various adventures. May have ‘locked’ chapters that can be read only with a prerequisite chapter)
OPTION D- SEQUEL (Have Book 1 focus on half of the cast and the sequel focus on the other half. This does mean that characters with a main focus in Book 2 would be side characters in Book 1, and vice versa)
OPTION E- OTHER (let me know in the comments)
So yeah: A, B, C, D or E? I look forward to seeing your responses to this.
(Also P.S: I had this announcement already written out beforehand but I lost progress of that bc I accidentally left it so now I am frustrated. Also I really need to get this work out there but I am a bit scared of how people would view it and the characters).
