You know I have been thinking about how I do announcements on here. Like I have been analysing my last announcement, my birthday one, and it has got me thinking about how I should do this feature in the future.

How do you guys want to see any announcements from this point on? Do you want it to be detailed or keep it short and simple?
Do you want the announcements to be more serious or to have more engaging ones like the “shake hand in character one”?

Also I have been thinking about those posts talking about characters in different situations. I love it when authors do that. Like for example if the situation is “at a karaoke”- the author shares what their characters would do. I wanna do that with the Mixed Signals cast as a getting to know each member of the team.
Are you guys okay with that or should I wait until the book is published to do that?

Let me know your thoughts on this! Remember to keep it respectful.

So I watched Project Hail Mary for the first time yesterday as a “day before birthday” thing with a friend. And if I had to sum it up it was “amaze, amaze, amaze”! That movie made me laugh, made me amazed, made me scared, and even made me sob to the point I got a headache. I absolutely love this movie, and I could not have recommended it (but be mindful of the rating).

Anyways birthday is today, I wish I can watch the movie again.

Girl we’ve been knowing how to write

“Come up with a name for a group”

          Huh?

*writes down “Team Great”, “The Cool Ones” before crossing them out*

In all seriousness, coming up with a team name is difficult. Like I am trying to find a name for a superhero team that sounds cool. No I am not taking “Zodiac” as an answer, as cool as that sounds.

So far I got the word “Astrals” in mind but idk I would go with this. Idk I am finding it difficult bc one idea ends up being used by someone else smh. Is this how coming up with a group name feels like bc my goshhh its difficult.

hey-its-sorairo

@lunarella- Same. I sometimes do the keyboard smash and make it look sense trick and hope for the best lol.

I may delete this post but I have a question for the writers. Readers you can also contribute to this but I need to hear some thoughts. For any writers on here have ever experienced having a set plan in place and you are comfortable with it until another idea pops up which may change your initial plan? And that change ended up making your plan better in some way?

Idk how to explain it but I’ll give context. In the past (like months ago) I remember sharing a few ideas and people liked the idea of a secret agent team not collaborating and they must try to find a way to work together. The plot is still the same however I have been thinking about making the characters a superhero team instead. And there are reasons for this.
          1) Plot has a bigger impact: The team is appreciated by the general public and are well known. Them not collaborating would be a major impact on their image especially as a team of heroes.
          2) It makes more sense in way especially with the characters having superhuman abilities.
          3) Themes: I want to tie in some themes such as duty, identity, power, and recognition.

I have also decided to change the title to “Mixed Signals” mainly cause the other one felt too lengthy.

I feel like I enjoy the changes more than the initial idea. It has made me more motivated and since thinking about, and it opened pathways to new ideas including the setting, characters, themes and story. But I am worried what others may think of it.

I know in the end its my story but would people still like the idea even with changes? Please let me know your responses bc this is something I am worried about.

Also apologies if this makes no sense at all. One thing’s for sure is that I need to go with an idea and stick with it next time

It always happens, honestly, I feel like writers who change nothing in their initial plans are psychopaths

You know what, I’m curious.

What do you think is/are the most UNDERRATED zodiac sign/s present in stories?

I want to hear some thoughts from you all with reasoning too.
Also if your thoughts are “no one is underrated”you are welcome to share your thoughts on that too. Just want to remind everyone to be respectful in this discussion. Also this is not a comparison of each sign. This is just a question I am curious on.

I’m looking forward to hearing people’s thoughts on this! :)

@lunarella- Yeah pretty much!! I dunno k think it would js be interesting to see different moralities and personalities applied to the signs and how it plays out

@crazybirdsfly would the same be applied to like the opposite? like instead of Scorpio being the emo, edgy one, they are instead someone who is more bubbly and cheerful?

@kolnya_ (had to retype this). Not CEO x Y/N, I got flashbacks. I agree with what you said. But how would you want Scorpio to be portrayed that isn’t stereotypical?

If I ever get around to changing my username, I’ll let you guys know just to avoid confusion idk.

Is it just me or this site feels more like an abandoned town. Like it’s actually chipping away motivation to get new works out there.

I have been on this app for a long time. Back then things felt more lively. I wish for those times again but hey we gotta do what we gotta do. But I really hope things get lively here again.

LONG POST AHEAD (it was longer but I had to compact it- I want to yap smh)‼️

Hey guys still on vacation but lately I have been thinking about something that has got me thinking, and that is the structure of my upcoming work.
The general premise is focused on character development with the cast having to rekindle their trust with each other as a team after a mission gone wrong. I also want to make sure there is a main storyline as well.

There are a few factors to keep in note, mainly that there may be a lot of info to understand and I want each character to shine. I want readers to get to know the characters and how they change throughout the story and try to rekindle their trust.

So far I have a few options to take in regards to the structure. Just let me know which option is the best to do.

OPTION A- KEEP IT AS IT IS (no need to compact the info)

OPTION B- COMPACT (compact the character development parts, focus on the plot)

OPTION C- MAIN STORY, SIDE STORY (have one book be the main storyline, and have the other book focus on the characters through various adventures. May have ‘locked’ chapters that can be read only with a prerequisite chapter)

OPTION D- SEQUEL (Have Book 1 focus on half of the cast and the sequel focus on the other half. This does mean that characters with a main focus in Book 2 would be side characters in Book 1, and vice versa)

OPTION E- OTHER (let me know in the comments)

So yeah: A, B, C, D or E? I look forward to seeing your responses to this.

(Also P.S: I had this announcement already written out beforehand but I lost progress of that bc I accidentally left it so now I am frustrated. Also I really need to get this work out there but I am a bit scared of how people would view it and the characters).

@lunarella- uhh I’m gonna say either a or c. I LOVE THIS PREMISE BTW I FUCKIN LOVE REBUILDING TRUST ARCS AND MESSY CHARAXTERS

Hi hi! Just letting you know that I will be on vacation so I would be using the time to enjoy the holiday and have some leisure. :^]

I may use the time to catch up on reading. As for writing and planning I would be off ‘work mode’. I do have a lot of ideas I want to share, let me know if you want to hear it because it’s a lot lol.

Anyways, bit of an update post for you all. Enjoy the rest of your week!
