@wiccaanways ( … ) you’d… do that for me ? [ the huntress blinked, teeth grazing her lower lip as she paced in a tight, restless line. she listened — really listened — to every word he offered, weighing them like stones in her palms. it was still risky. too many variables, too many ways the night could turn against them. and she had no idea what her next shift would feel like. it had been so long since she’d let it happen properly. would it tear through her like wildfire ? would it slip over her bones like an old, familiar coat ? ] okay… [ she nodded, closing her eyes for a heartbeat before brushing her hair back and meeting his gaze again. ] okay. we’ll try it your way. [ a breath, thin and uncertain. ] how much energy is this going to cost you ?

what if (…) we can train your wolf? no wolfsbane, no chains, no injecting with silver— just letting you run in the forest? [ he tries to string the words together, his hands gesturing to make some sort of dome, ] i can create a field around the woods, containing you in it every shift until it no longer tries to fight you? [ although he wasn’t the best at learning healthy restraint, what with all his masochistic coping mechanisms that he was sure would put a therapist into a coma— he couldn’t bare to see the people he cared about doing the same thing. ] it is a part of you after all (…) eventually you have to learn to coexist.

@wiccaanways ( … ) [ she looked away, closing her eyes briefly. he was right, of course. he was only looking out for her. but her wolfish temper still simmered below the surface. that dissipated once he mentioned his own control being taken away, in a different way. she didn’t know much about his past, but she guessed it was a long and shitty one. her arms dropped to her sides, guilt suddenly filling her chest as she fiddled with the loose threads on her sleeves. ] I lose my mind every time, jack. I can’t keep it, no matter how much I try. I don’t know / how /. even after all this time, I can’t do it… I’m not as strong as you think I am…
