this post is for pure fun and nostalgia purposes but i cannot believe it’s 2026!! i downloaded this app in 2017? insane how time flies…
seeing all the books/fanfics i’ve previously read genuinely made me feel like a kid again. i guess my love for reading did start from when i was young HAHA.
i hate how wattpad is now filled with ads every chapter and original fiction books. this place always just felt like a mix of fandoms writing fanfictions of their favourite characters or idols — not filled with many books that feel and look the same. i miss the pinterest covers, the cutesy symbols and the thesaurus.
all this to say that the old version of wattpad, the one i grew up in, will hold a special place in my heart. i love nostalgia, i hope it doesn’t break my heart.
