Those were more than likely the first words you've heard from the mouth of Henri Wilhelm Schmit, polite courtesy laced with a detectable hint of genuine concern. It was also highly probable that your first encounter with the young man involved you bursting into a surprisingly quaint book store in an attempt to escape a bout of rain, and him curiously glancing up from (what appeared to be at the time) a journal and offering a hospitable smile. 

Then his dog decided to tackle you to the ground, in a playful and friendly manner of course.
