Any comments on my new intro, for my cyberpunk novel Wrong Side: Book 1 of the 2090's Trashy Cinderella series, would be greatly appreciated.

“Good people don’t kill.” I grippe my knees on the metal bench of the self-driving drone while the cruel downpour beats the cabin’s window on my way to K-Top’s border checkpoint. I spot a handful of missing crystals on my rain-soaked cocktail dress. Attempting to jump off a 50-story building can do that to your favorite designer garment, so be aware.
“My family wants nothing to do with me. You die, I die.” Gia’s 3D hologram appeared on the bench in front of me via a live stream from her living room. Her dark bronze face was puffy from running out of tears. I could see the pain in Gia’s eyes, but I couldn’t feel it. That part of me has been broken ever since April 3rd. I didn’t even consider Gia before jumping tonight, this is how selfish I am. I woke her up and caught her with bed hair and one of her t-shirt dresses she usually sleeps in. That one blazingly flashes an illegal USA flag tattooed on a tongue jutting out.
“I’m sorry Gia. I wasn’t thinking. And don’t say you have no one beside me. You have Mac. It’s me who has no one.”
“We promise to be each other soul mates like in Sex in the City.”
“And to let men be just these great, nice guys to have fun with. I remember…”
“You do?” Gia’s eyes illuminate.
“It’s all coming back to me bit by bit. I’m sorry but ever since Liberation Day’s Eve-”
Gia glares at me.
“I mean April 3rd. And stop worrying, I’m not becoming an Insider. From now on, I’m staying right here with you Outside. I just wish I could go back and never made that deal with the Vipers in the first place.”
