why is the sky blue?

For the ocean imma assume there r bits of chemicals (the natural safe kind) and together the mass creates the blue tint. As fir the sky I don’t remember clearly but the lighting is separated into 7 sections or a rainbow. And we just happen to land in the blue part of the suns lighting and it also has to do with our atmosphere. :>
