In the 1970's a number of talented and dedicated individuals attempted to create plays that would reflect Canadian concerns and issues. Across the country small theatres sprung up, each one building works that were written by the cast or a single writer. Some of those theatres still work today, grooming talent and creating literature. My role was as an actor/writer with various groups from one coast to the other. It was exciting to work with committed people, and I learned a great deal about the process of writing.
This was destined not to last too long for me. I went back to university to study psychology and finished with a B.A. and a Master's degree. I was not satisfied with the professional possibilities, however, and returned to academics once again for an education degree. Following a one year program I began teaching English in small private schools so that I could earn my keep while having time to write.
In the years while I was teaching I also worked as a ghostwriter and completed several of my own books. Writing has been the central element in all of my activities, I hope you will enjoy reading my work.
