Results of Round 1 of the ONC are up and, sadly, I didn't pass with ANY of my stories. What does this mean? Probably, that I'll keep updating at snail speed, in the best of cases. The worst scenario, though, is that I might abandon them for a long while, which could be weeks, months or even years, considering that my procrastinating self doesn't know the meaning of proper updates.
My writing was incredibly subpar, I know. I could've done a lot better. I probably overdid it out of excitement and folly, which was a HUGE mistake. I've seen other authors doing a GREAT job with their works and, what can I say? Probably I just didn't put enough effort to be at least on their par, or maybe I'm just a bad writer, who knows?
So, please tell me, what should I do? Do you want to see more updates of Match Mixer in the next days, or should I leave the Mix & Match series hanging for a while until I regain proper inspo. In that case, I might update something else. For example, Disillusionment. I was too busy focusing on exams (for the first part of the year) and the ONC that I forgot about it. Or many other stories I'd like to update as soon as I can.
I apologize in advance if I sound like a sore loser, but I was shocked. I knew not all the stories in the Mix & Match series would make it, but I hoped that at least one could. Maybe the format was not acceptable, or maybe the storyline didn't appeal to the judging panel...
So, please, give me your honest opinion on what I should do. Right now, I don't think I even know if I want to write, at least in this period.
Thank you for listening to this pointless and useless rant of mine.
Cheers
Midge
(P.S.: again, congratulations to whoever made it)
