Hey guys,

Not sure how many of you will read or respond to this, but I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I've been planning to do a Joe and Dianne story based around their Sims series. I came up with the idea around their second video, and my plan was for each chapter of the story to follow each video (so, everything that Sim Joe and Dianne do, the Story Joe and Dianne do as well). But - if you've been watching the series - you'll notice that it's gone a little bit off the rails in places! So, I have a few options of what I could do:
          	1) Continue writing it as closely to the videos as possible. There's not really any planning involved; just writing down what the Sims characters do in each video. But it would require a lot of suspension of disbelief from me and the readers for the story to work!
          	2) Take the basic outline of the Sims 'narrative' (and specific events that happened in the videos), but reinterpret it into something more realistic.
          	3) Scrap the whole thing, and just focus on my other stories instead!
I'll be interested to know your thoughts!
          	Take care x

Have you heard the good news about the 2019 Strictly Christmas Special?!

BlueInfernoDemon

@BlueInfernoDemon it's definitely gonna be one of the more cheery, happier dances. So mainly Ballroom, especially going off the previous year. Latin dances were Cha Cha, Jive and Charleston.

Guess it just depends on their song.

@BlueInfernoDemon Oh yeah, you're right about the Foxtrot chapter. It was pretty close to Halloween though, I guess. Yay for theme weeks...
Ooh, I didn't think of a Rhumba; that could be cool. A lot of people are suggesting a Quickstep, but I'm not sure whether they could ever recreate the magic of Blackpool. So maybe they should go for a style that they didn't do so well with during the main show, like the American Smooth or Viennese Waltz (to 'redeem' themselves, so to speak). Or maybe even a Jive, to take their Strictly journey full-circle!

@BlueInfernoDemon The Foxtrot chapter wasn't uploaded near Halloween, so it's fine, doesn't matter when you upload it.

No idea what they would dance and what they'd dance to. Maybe they'd do a Rumba or a Charleston. Not sure...

So, when you were writing the stories for your Joanne series, how long did you take writing the chapters, and was it hard thinking up the individual stories?

BlueInfernoDemon

I'm autistic. And yeah, the life skill lessons are very helpful. I am really enjoying it!

@BlueInfernoDemon Thanks for the ideas: I wasn't sure where specifically to set the chapter; you've really helped!
Oh, I didn't know that about your school. I've worked at a Special Needs School before, and they accommodated students of all ages, including sixth formers. I didn't get a chance to work with those students, so I was curious as to how it differed from mainstream Sixth Form. The life-skills lessons sound so useful; they should be offered to all sixth formers, regardless of ability (heck, I know I could have done with them back then, and even now!). But as long as you're enjoying it and you're happy - which it sounds like you are - that's what matters. If you don't mind me asking, what is your 'need'?

Well, it's a little bit of a complex situation. It is a special needs school, I changed school there, and I was only really put in sixth-form because they have the most cognitively able students there. Heck, I'm not even 16 yet. But our lessons mostly consist of Maths and English and lifestyle skills lessons. And it is a cool school.

Well, for the Argentine Tango story, in the Peaky Blinders show, Tommy Shelby meets his eventual love interest Grace when she starts a job at their personal pub as a barmaid, secretly working as a double agent. Joe and Dianne could meet like that, minus Dianne being a double agent
