Everything- Melody and her brother, Mark, are offically parent-less and friend-less after their father had died in Afganistan and their mother(and unborn sibling) killed in what the police believe to be just a fire. But Melody knew better, after retrieving their mothers dead body, they saw wounds on her neck and wrist. Meaning, someone had tried(and succeed) to bleed her dry, but more accurately: murder. They soon move to live with their God-mother,Bree Carter, in New York City. But things get even more suspicious when she attends her new high school as a freshman.

But one night, when he was hunting along the shore, he nearly ran into a beautiful young maiden. He had never sensed this girl! Were his senses finally failing him? Would he not be able to catch his prey anymore? Or is this maiden not from this land? What if this girl, is a maiden of the deep?
