ⁱ. FALL/ ⁱᶜᵃʳᵘˢ

*dipper sighed,  sinking deeper into the worn-out couch,  and hugged a pillow against his chest.   despite his efforts to maintain a positive attitude, he couldn't shake off the somber emotions that lingered within him.   the encounter with bill had left its mark,   and no matter how much he tried to distract himself, the weight of that experience was difficult to bear as the movie played on,     he found himself only half-engaged,   his mind wandering to the memories of his accident.. he tried so hard to ignore.  he longed for a sense of closure and normalcy, but the scars, both physical and emotional, still remained.    glancing over at grunkle ford who was thoroughly engrossed in the film,   he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt.   he knew his great-uncle was doing his best to lift his spirits, but the sadness seemed to permeate every fiber of his being.  as the black and white movie played on, he wondered if he could ever find the closure he so desperately sought.   his gaze shifted,  debating whether to open up about his inner struggles.  but seeing the genuine care in his great-uncle's eyes, dipper knew he could confide in him.*   It's just... everything that happened,  it sucks.   maybe, I’m also tired.. I don’t know.  

@bearsfalls     ▎    [  after a few minutes, he returned with a bowl of popcorn and took a seat beside dipper.    he watched the movie, holding out the popcorn bowl for him but soon noticed the distant in dipper his gaze,  and sensed the turmoil within his nephew.  a worrisome,  frown adorned his features.   concern etched across his face. ]    is something bothering you, dipper?  

/fine/   I’ll give it a shot.    *a deep sigh, he watched his uncle leave before he grasped a pillow and held it against his chest,  patiently waited for him to return.   while he waited his leg, bounced up and down lightly.*     

@CIPHERMUST    ▎ ever so creative with the nicknames,  bill.   things never change do they?  [ he remarks bluntly,  of course bill hadn’t changed.. what would he expect from such a cruel being. his complexion grew pale,  no.  he didn’t know.  he instantly felt bad for not believing dipper at first,  for calling him delusional. ]    don’t call him that.  and you stay far away from him,  don’t even think about touching him..  don’t even breath near him.   he’s just a kid.    [ ford knew his nephew was growing to be a young man,  but he couldn’t help and be protective over him.  that boy deserved a better life,   than he ever had.  not wanting him to make those same mistakes. ]   in the name of science everything is possible.      [ he said,  not mentioning how. ]   and i don’t need to shake your hand for that.

I can still try ..  I can pretend to be his friend , play his dirty game  ,  stab him in the back  ..  anything to not let it get to that point .   * a pause . *  can’t you see you’re not helping at all ?   you’re only making me feel worse ..  

@bearsfalls     ▎   it’s because i understand that i tell you to leave.     everyone you care about will be at risk,   he wil not be direct in attacking you. bill is a great liar,  nothing of this is fair dipper.  its the sacrifices we’ve to make when we’ve unleashed an interdimensional entity that’s about to devour our entire town..  just promise me,  you don’t blame yourself for his return and set the idea of fighting bill out of your head for my sake..    and yours.
