            “ then why are we
             hundreds of years old ? ” Derek asked as blood ran down his chin.

            She took the flowers with a soft thanks, though she was still a bit shaken up.” Are you… Are you going to hurt me?”

            They both rolled their eyes. 
            
            “ we need blood , not human food ” Tate said , while Derek held a fox in his arms as he took a few small sips and passed it to his older brother who did the same. But not enough to kill it and he put it down watching the Fox run into the woods.
