Ok I officially hate stories that have "you" as the pov. such as "you saw him there, and you decided to do something to him. you walked down an alleyway. you went downstairs to eat because you were hungry and found yourself to not be as alone as you thought. you heard something and went to go check it out."
first of all, they read weird. i can't get attached to the story at all because it feels as if I'm talking to someone else, not myself. I like reading in first person pov. and third person pov.
Second of all, anybody who went to school knows that you're not supposed to write essays in 2nd person. it's the exact same for books and stories. UGH!!!
I'm so done with some of these people. I'm sorry to offend you if you are one, but seriously!!! the story would be 10 times better (as long as the grammar is correct, and the story well written). unless the stories are changed, I usually don't read past the 1st 2 paragraphs depending on how long they are. I want to be able to get lost in some of these stories and be able to pretend as if I'm there too. otherwise I'm not experiencing the story at all.
I apologize for the long rant (and the lack of updates. I am currently redoing kidnapped because I've changed my mind on how I want the story to progress). if you happen to like these types of stories then you're welcome to read them. I just wish I could because some of them would seem like great stories otherwise.
