            miles smiled and  nodded, brightening up after the other’s statement. she had heard the stories about the weak stomached paladin but she’d always believed it was just a rumor to make him seem more average. “thanks— oh yeah i heard you were a machine expert too, us mechanics have to stick together, yeah?”

            ace didn’t talk much with miles. really she’d only see her class so often. but she found her rushing to comfort this acquaintance as soon as she saw her face fall.
            
            “Hey! It just takes practice.”
            
            she stated with a small playful nudge.
            
            “I bet pretty soon you’ll be flying through the stars like an expert! Just hang in there! Like you won’t believe how many stories my dad told me about how he used to puke all the time on the simulators yet he managed to fly the lion!”

             “mhm— i just hope i’m able to live up to his legacy.” she said smiling, before pausing as her face fell “i mean, i’m not a great pilot now but hopefully soon i’ll be able to pilot as well as him”
