Just write. And then write. And write some more. Your first draft is for your eyes only so what does it matter? Once you have words on the page you can play around with them and edit it into something better. But you can't edit what you don't have.
Don't worry about what everyone else is doing it how good theirs is in comparison to yours, just write. Set yourself a word count goal and write until you meet it. Then go back and edit it. At this point in time I'm on the fifth or sixth (I can't recall off the top of my head) edit of Eyes and my fourth edit of Smile.
But my biggest bit if advice is to have fun. Enjoy what you're writing, even if it's a load of rubbish, otherwise what's the point?!
Just relax, switch your inner editor off and let the words splodge onto your page. You'd be surprised at what you can do with a pile of words on a screen ;-)
