Mandisa M. Parnell is a Jamaican living and working in her beautiful island home. She has always been a lover of Literature and at the age of eight became influenced and inspired to start creating her own characters and stories. She is the proud author of three books: "The Boy Next Door: A Jamaican Teenage Love Story", which she markets as 'the very first authentically Jamaican teen romance novel'; "Premonition: Listening to the Voices" - a novella comprising two short stories, one of which copped a Silver Medal at the Jamaica Creative Writing Competition in 2014; and the first title in a planned series for children - "Hard Ears Junior Learns A Lesson: A Read-Aloud Jamaican Tale for Children". 

Mandisa has a passion for the Arts and is a closet artist. She also enjoys music, and is a radio and television aficionado who harbours an ambition of becoming a broadcaster. Mandisa is an animal lover - she goes "goo-goo-ga-ga" over all things cute, furry, fluffy, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed especially cats and Labrador pups. While one of her undying dreams is to become a bestselling author, her ULTIMATE desire is to one day become wife to a man who looks like Morris Chestnut and mother to an intelligent, sweet-faced girl. She enjoys a good pot of "stew peas" cooked up with chicken foot, chicken and turkey neck; ackee and saltfish; oxtail with broad beans; Foska Oats, banana and plantain porridge; Prestige jelly donuts; Pizza Hut pizza and grapenut/vanilla/fruit-and-nut ice cream. She is a Scorpio.
