“you can’t be serious,” kara’s entire face was lit up at what sam had just told her. truthfully, part of her didn’t believe him. she thought maybe this was just a joke, but she really hoped he was being serious. once the item was shown to her though, she was forced to believe it, and boy, was she ecstatic. “i’ve been looking for one of these for *years*, how on earth did you manage to find one?!” she gently held the record in her hand, her smile only growing the longer she looked at it. even just looking at it brought back so many memories for the woman. “where did you find it?”

" I didn't ask you to jump in , " Bucky muttered under his breath, looking down and flexing his battered knuckles. he wasn't above admitting that he may have overdone it this time. what started as an opportunity to get out the house and meet people ended in a sober bar fight ( on his end ) and a bird escort ( on Sam's) . he didn't know what his problem was. maybe he was a masochist. maybe fighting was engrained in his DNA at this point. whatever the case bucky was pretty content in the choice itself, after all that guy deserved it for ruining some ladies' night. he was only feeling particularly remorseful now when he realized his actions probably ruined sam's.

ha . it's something nice to think about . don't know if i'll ever truly retire though . i mean look at steve and bucky ! they're what, like ancient ? sure i may not get to / that / age, but i figure i'll do this as long as i can . there's always need for help out there .

well, once you decide you’re too old for the superhero thing, open yourself a restaurant, either here or back home. if it’s a dream of yours you don’t want to miss out on it. and by then you should have plenty of recipes stockpiled to where you can easily pick out a menu.
